In relation to the FCU fixture of CCCC v Kismet CC, having considered the situation, where there certainly has been open dialogue by reps from both Clubs.

Overall, given the circumstances I have decided to declare the fixture a No Match and award 2pts to each team.

sunday 9/9/07, in overcast but dry conditions broomall, put into bat, scored 159-8, then restricted clacks to about 120, with virtually their 2nd team, with some good catching especially from players not renowned for taking them, and a last ever over from tom, before he leaves for down south takes 2 wickets and a wicket with his final ball. Tom you will be missed.

09/09/07

Kismet CC V's Fauldhouse CC

Kismet CC 151 for 7 (4 Pt's)

Defeated

Fauldhouse CC 145 for 3 (0 Pt's)
R McDonald 83 n.o.

An excellent innings By Ricky McDonald with Fauldhouse almost doing enough to win the game.

By my calculations if I dare say that, that makes Kismet CC Champions of the inaugural Forth Union 20/20 ;D

Final FCU League Table, as from 20th September 2007, on results lodged with League Secretary: -

P W L NR TIE PTS
Kismet 12 9 0 3 0 42
Stenhousemuir 12 7 2 3 0 34
Fauldhouse 12 6 3 3 0 30
Clackmannan 12 3 5 4 0 20
Dunnikier 12 3 5 4 0 20
Glenrothes 12 1 8 3 0 10
Broomhall 12 2 8 2 0 6 ***

* denotes number of 2pt deductions for late call-offs

As such, congratulations to Kismet CC for winning the FCU league in 2007.

Match returns are still required for a number of games, it is important as details of individual performances go towards the respective batting/bowling & U21 FCU awards.

I can confirm that the AGM of the Forth Cricket Union, will take place on Friday 25th January 2008, at McKane Park, Dunfermline, commencing 1900hrs.

Any Club interested in making application to join the FCU for 2008 season, contact me.

I can advise that some Clubs have muted another change to the current 20/20 playing format, whilst a couple of Clubs enjoyed the current format and given the weather in 2007, feel FCU should give 20/20 another season before considering a format change.

To date, no formal Motion has been lodged on this matter.

At the AGM of Forth Cricket Union, with no formal Motions submitted regarding playing format for 2008, all FCU fixtures will be played as in 2007, namely a 20/20 match, home & away, with 11-a-side, 4 overs maximum per bowler and a start time between 1200-1300hrs.

Further, Clackmannan CC indicated that the Club would not be particpating in FCU for 2008. However, a formal application to join FCU was received from Dunfermline Wanderers and accepted.

The participating Clubs are: -

Broomhall
Dunfermline Wanderers
Dunnikier
Fauldhouse
Glenrothes
Kismet
Stenhousemuir
